This 1960 Porsche 356B Coupe carries a story that reflects the global appeal and enduring charm of early Porsche ownership. Originally delivered in August of 1960 through Auguste Veuillets famed Sonauto dealership in Paris, this car was first owned by an American before eventually making its way to the United States. Period details noted in enthusiast features such as its European gauge cluster with oil pressure, clock, and ampere gauge, along with unique French-market touches highlight the individuality and character that set cars like this apart from typical U.S.-spec examples.

In 2009, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration that transformed it into the striking example seen today. The body was taken down to bare metal, properly prepped, and refinished in the ever-desirable Bali Blue a deep, rich color chosen for its timeless elegance and ability to accentuate the 356s flowing lines. Brightwork was refinished, seals and glass components refreshed, and the interior was completely reimagined with dark tan leather upholstery over oatmeal carpeting. The seats were professionally rebuilt and re-covered, while the gauges were restored and the cabin returned to a clean, cohesive, and period-correct presentation. Even the small but significant Sonauto badge was carefully recreated to preserve the cars heritage.

Under the rear decklid sits the original 1600cc engine, which remains true to its factory roots. Rather than a full rebuild, the engine was thoughtfully refreshed and improved for reliability, including the addition of an aluminum oil cooler, updated ignition components, and carburetion enhancements. The result is a peppy and responsive driving experience that stays true to the cars original character, producing power very close to its factory rating. With upgraded Koni shocks and a well-sorted chassis, the car offers confident, composed handling that makes it ideal for long-distance touring exactly as intended.

This 356B is not just a showpiece, but a true drivers car what enthusiasts often refer to as a distance car. It runs and drives excellent, delivering the engaging, analog experience that defines vintage Porsche ownership. Having spent time in the dry climate of New Mexico while being carefully maintained, it presents today as a beautifully restored and well-preserved example. With its combination of European heritage, documented restoration, and authentic driving character, this 356B Coupe offers a rare opportunity to own and enjoy one of Porsches most iconic early models.

Price does not include applicable tax, title, license, processing, and/or $240 documentation fees.
