Classic Car Overview
I have a 1960 Land Rover Series II (gas) with the tropical top. It is in good condition. It is light blue with a white tropical top. I would like to offer it for sale and I will deliver it to the port in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Shipping prices can vary. One shipper charges $1,600 for Guayaquil to Houston, Texas. You will need to arrange your own shipping from Guayaquil, Ecuador and you might find prices higher or lower than this example.
I am asking $25,000 but would consider a reasonable offer. It is rust free and drives great. This type of Land Rover typically sells for $30,000 to $40,000 in the U.S. It has a clear title.
Some history is that this is a British Land Rover and not a Santana. It was owned by a government or NGO in Loja, Ecuador for many decades. I do not know how many owners there have been. I purchased it from a man in Loja that owned it as a weekend car for about 5-10 years.
I have done the following repairs since I purchased it in April of this year. New 3rd to 4th gear synchronizer imported from the U.K., new carburetor kit, new battery, new emergency brake bearing, major tune up, and repaired the windshield wiper motors, new rubber pads for pedals, new ignition coil, repaired fuel pump, and repaired wiper motors.
I am selling it because it is my only vehicle and it is a better Truck for weekend expeditions than a daily driver. It is strong and has no rust. This is a very rare Series II in this nice of condition.
There have been the right updates to keep this a good driver. It has new upholstery. This is the the shorter 88” wheelbase station wagon. The 2.25-liter motor is part of the robust tradition of durable Land Rover power. So it's great to have this one looking so stock. And the clean undercarriage photos also prove that this one has been treated with respect. The four-speed manual gearbox gives you complete control over the motor. Plus, the two-speed transfer case and deep-grooved vintage-style tires allow this impressive classic to still live up to its go-anywhere reputation.
This has the fundamentals and style you love at a price that makes it irresistible. So don't miss this rare classic Land Rover. A an additional Youtube video of the Land Rover is available upon request.
