Classic Car Overview

For sale: 1961 Jaguar MK IX saloon. Non-running, but excellent for a project/restoration car. This car is a "barn find" - I purchased it 6 years ago after it was found stored in a man's garage in Texas for over 30 years. I have considerable experience working on classic Jaguars and some work was done on it but, unfortunately, other priorities are preventing me from completing this project. The car has a new bonnet (hood), no evidence of body damage or rust other than a small spot in the boot (trunk) and body alignment is excellent. The previous owner had installed an incorrect 3.4L engine in the car; I had a correct 3.8L Jaguar engine professionally rebuilt ($5500 parts/labor by Abacus Racing in Virginia Beach) and it is ready to install. Interior wood is complete and in fairly good condition. Sale includes engine stand and hydraulic hoist. Clean title ready for transfer - cash, cashiers check, or bank transfer only. Car is located in Elizabeth City, NC and buyer will need to arrange for and pay shipping separately.
