Classic Car Overview
New Curry 9 inch rear end. New Independent front suspension and new rear leaf spring suspension. New Blueprint 302 motor with Edelbrock carb making 300 HP on dyno, Tremec world class 5 speed transmission harvested from low mileage modern Mustang, new hydraulic brake and clutch system, new electric fan, new Vintage air conditioning system, Magniflow exhaust and Hedman headers, power steering, new steering column and wheel from IDIDIT, New disc brakes on all 4 wheels, new tires and wheels, custom aluminum wook look bed liner with decal, complete new wiring harness, new glass throughout, sound proofed cab with new carpet, vintage look modern electronic stereo/amplifier/speakers, refurbished chrome, custom made grill (could not find original), original seat re-upholstered to match interior/exterior colors, new seat belts, new aluminum gas tank moved out of cab to rear frame, new electronic fuel pump, new alternator and front engine serpentine system in brushed aluminum, new driveshaft, all new lights changed to LED and more that I probably have forgotten to mention.
What is wrong with it? It needs some final touches. The paint has a few blemishes that need touched up and final wet sanding. The decal on the bed insert has a tear/blemish in it. The new tailgate had some greasy film on it when purchased and the paint did not stick, and needs to be repainted. It needs an alignment and AC system charged and checked for leaks. It has not been driven enough to work out any bugs or issues. There is some surface rust on the tailgate and wheels that should be easily sanded out after sitting the past 5 years. I have started and ran it regularly and it sounds great and have driven it a few times. I just have not had time with other projects and work to ever get back to finish it, and am looking at retirement out of the country and have realized it is just time to part ways with it. This project was completed by myself, I am not a car professional though I had help from some very experienced car restoration and expert welders. I offer no warranties or guarantees though I am very proud of the project to date and spent countless hours over 3 years and well more money than I am asking for it.
