MODEL HISTORY: For 1960, the Impala became a series in its own right and reintroduced three taillights per side. The bodyshell was shared with some models of Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac. These cars were quite popular, with 490,000 examples sold.
DRIVE REPORT & YouTube VIDEOS: This fine Impala has been given the performance treatment by its expert Chevy enthusiast and owner. It gives the impression of being quite solid without the characteristic rattling around found while driving so many cars of this era. Rather, it rides solid and runs very strong as we can show you in the YouTube ride link below..Be sure to watch all three! Here they are...

SUMMARY: This car is an historic survivor that has had much time, money and effort invested to make it suitable for enjoyable driving and proud display at shows. The vast majority of 1960 automobiles no longer exist in ANY condition! The new owner should expect that most ALL classic cars of this vintage are works in progress. There will likely ALWAYS be something that needs attention, maintenance, and/or replacement/repair. There is no perfect example and how close to perfect it may be depends on the owners attitude, talent, time to invest, and monetary resources. The new owner is, in effect, the next caretaker because like a family pet this classic is entirely dependent upon its owner for survival!
IMPERFECTIONS: Most folks who see this car coming or going or even walking up to it will say that it is a nice preservation/restoration. But please keep in mind that this car was never stripped down to its last nut and bolt, with each part fussed over and re-assembled into something - though perfect to some peoples eyes - bears little resemblance to what Chevrolet actually shipped out the door. In truth, no classic car is truly perfect, and this car is no exception. Therefore because we want you to know exactly what you are getting we actually look for flaws to point out. Please be sure to examine ALL images and read the captions/description thoroughly.
LOTS OF IMAGES... we have aimed the camera everywhere that a discerning buyer would look, so you can fully appreciate this 1960 Impala. The first set of images is intended to give a quick overall presentation of the car from a variety of vantage points. Then, there are specific sets of images (for serious buyers) that show greater detail of all areas of the car even the undercarriage. In all, there are almost 100 pictures.
INVESTMENT POTENTIAL... as we age, many of us get nostalgic about the cars of our youth. There is always that favorite car that got away, or was out of reach decades ago but that now cruises in the country roads of your mind. Then there are those cars that are not only our personal favorites, but that are also the favorite of millions of classic car admirers - these are the true Blue-Chip classics - and this 1960 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop Coupe is one of them. To own this famed car is to have not just a classic but a true American motoring icon. Its place is history has long been established, and it is one of the very best candidates of the 1960s for increased value appreciation in the years ahead.
ODOMETER NOTE: The indicated 00355 mileage is not the actual mileage of the Vehicle since new. It was reset to 00000 when the restoration was complete and the new gauges were installed. Due to the age of the Vehicle, the lack of continuous records since new, and the limitations of the odometers design; the actual mileage cannot be determined. Therefore, NO warranties expressed or implied are in effect as to actual mileage of this Vehicle.
PAYMENT DETAILS: Bank to Bank wire Transfer (or cash).
ABOUT ME: After retiring from 30 years of sales and marketing in a Global 100 company, I formed Murphy Endeavors, LLC and began buying and selling classic cars as a collector and for friends and clients. This classic belongs to a good friend and fellow classic car enthusiast.
IMPORTANT FINAL REMARKS & CONDITIONS OF SALE...the Buyer will receive a Bill of Sale and the clear/signed off Georgia Registration document.
PLEASE NOTE: The State of Georgia did not issue Automobile Titles until 1962. Therefore, this car is not required to have a title and the space for a Title number on the registration is blank. Because all states must respect the registration and title laws of other states, this car can be successfully registered, insured and driven in any state. Whether a title will be issued to the new owner depends on the DMV laws of the new owners state. If you have questions on this, please consult your local DMV office.
This Vehicle is sold strictly on a final and AS-IS basis without any warranties expressed or implied. Even the very best restored classics will require additional maintenance and service - often without warning. Therefore, please expect to continue - as the new owner and caretaker of this classic - to perform additional maintenance and repairs. We hope that you are able to enjoy the Impala without the need for an immediate repair - but understand that this indeed could be found necessary. As seasoned collectors know, every time you start (or attempt to start) a collectible vehicle is a new experience...it could be a wonderful ride, or a new repair to undertake. That is the nature of the hobby, and this classic should not be purchased if you are not prepared for this reality. We have presented the car accurately to the best of our ability, but oversights are possible, so we invite pre-purchase examination for serious buyers. All sales are final.
Because this car is primarily driven only on short local trips - and is untested for long trips - we recommend that it be transported to its new locale.
