1960 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Convertible Car for sale in El Cajon, California 92020

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
Selling my 1960 Corvette...it's in Red with White Coves with White Convertible Top (also included is a factory hard top in Red). We added a 1958 Style Hood and 1958 Style Trunk Spears to give the appearance of a 1958 model. I have the original 1960 Hood if requested. Car appears to be originally a Cascade Green car (per the trunk color code - see pics, and failing overspray paint areas). While the original color was not very popular, it is a very rare option with only ~140 of that color being made. Convertible Top is in good condition, and rear plastic is totally clear. Top has been folded up not in use for quite some time, so will need some stretching to close correctly. Non-original motor. Was replaced with a nice running, high-revving 327 prior to my family purchasing the car. The 327 is mated to a short-shift 4 speed manual transmission. This car is a screamer and will burn rubber through second gear. A 125 shot of nitrous was installed and was only used a hand full of times - filled the NOS tank twice. We had other NOS powered cars and figured why not have the option on this car. The system comes with the car but is currently uninstalled.
An Edelbrock Scorpion 2 High Rise intake is installed with a 750 CFM Holley 4 barrel carburetor. This is a non-rusted California car. Has been in my family for approx. 25 years, and was purchased from the previous owner in the Bay Area - so this is not a snow driven car. Frame is very clean.
We have installed a Crane Corvette Power Steering Conversion, Front Disk Brake setup, and a GM HEI ignition to make this car even more drivable. This car is super reliable and could be a daily driver if so desired. Re-chromed original front bumpers were recently installed and are immaculate. Front grill and rear bumpers have some surface rust dots that can be polished out. Paint is by no means perfect and is a great from 10 feet kind of paint. If you wanted a show car paint job already, this isn't your car, but the car is straight and the fiberglass is in awesome shape...
Interior is Black on Black and in great condition. The seats could have the foam and springs rebuilt but they look to be in perfect exterior condition. Dash has no cracks, but passenger side where it tucks under the windshield weather stripping has popped out, should be a quick fix for an upholstery shop.
This is a fun to drive piece of automotive history. It's a driver, no need to fear taking this one out and actually driving it - getting a door ding will not destroy the value of this car! Take it out and enjoy what it was meant to do!
