Classic Car Overview

Bought new in the US in Nebraska with 3 owners prior to me. Had previous restoration work including paint (Grey-Blue, but not a Healy original color). I have all the paper work for this prior to me. It is a 3000 Mk I BN7. I bought it from a dealer in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and had it closed truck delivered to my home in Great Barrington, Ma. I then had Donovan Motor Car service begin a mechanical restoration which took 6 months and included: replacing rear axle seals, replacing brake shoes and rear brake hose, replacing brake master cylinder, repairing handbrake assembly, replacing the heater valve on the engine, replacing the oil pressure hose, tuning the carburetors, replacing the ignition coil, replacing the starter motor, replacing the air, cleaners, replacing the choke, repairing the spring on the throttle pedal, fitting a new top frame to the car and fitting the top to the frame, repairing the tonneau cover zipper, installing a new aluminum radiator, replacing the generator belt, installing a new stainless steel exhaust system, changing the oil and filter less than 500 miles ago, installing front brake rotors and calipers, replacing the valve cover gasket, replacing the front wheel bearings, and shim spacers, replacing both the gearbox mounts and engine mounts, removing the transmission and sending it to a specialist for overhaul and then reinstallation, assembling the kingpin assembly, installing lower tang bushing caps and seals, installing new front springs, installing hubs, installing a new fuel pump, resurfacing the flywheel, installing a heater box and new seals, replacing the side curtains with new ones and replacing the electrical shut off switch. There are additional smaller items in the receipt package. I maintain receipts and invoices for all the work. The car has always been garaged. It never had pets in it and has been well maintained throughout his life from what I can see of the history prior to me and certainly since my purchase.

All in all the car is mechanically completely restored by a nationally respected restoration shop. The paint is good, but not excellent. There is no rust anywhere on the car. The interior is completely serviceable, but there are a couple of tears in the leather. All the chrome is excellent without pitting. Fit of doors and hoods is excellent. The top is in excellent condition and is beige in color. The aftermarket AM/FM radio does not function. The car drives extremely well. It has an electric overdrive in both third and fourth gears. The tires are excellent and have less than 1000 miles on them. This car could easily be listed as excellent condition with new original color, paint and some interior work.
