Classic Car Overview

Chassis No. H-BN7-L/623
Engine No. 29D-RU-H/542

Body No. 862

Red with tan leather interior and tan top and tonneau cover.
Engine: six-cylinder, overhead valve, twin SU carburetors, 2,912cc., 124bhp at 4,600rpm; Gearbox: four-speed manual with overdrive on 3rd and 4th; Suspension: front, independent coil springs, rear, live axle, semi-elliptic springs; Brakes: front discs, rear discs. Left hand drive.

This BN7 model has been comprehensively and professionally restored to the highest of standards; virtually everything that could be done by way of restoration has been attended to. The chassis was stripped to bare metal and blasted before being re-sealed and painted, and the panel work was either replated or newly replaced, while the interior was retrimmed with correct style leather faced seats, The bodywork was then given a show-quality, polyurethane, two-stage repaint in Red. The car sits on spoke upgraded chrome/stainless wheels with correct size radial tires. Mechanically the engine and transmission have been completely rebuilt including the starter, generator and so forth. Other new parts include newly rebuilt suspension, brakes, a fuel system, a new wiring system and a new stainless-steel exhaust. The gearbox has also been rebuilt and re-sealed and the overdrive unit has been rebuilt and sealed. The Healey is offered with a BMIHT Certificate verifying when it was originally Built and that it is a matching numbers example. It is offered with all bills and a photographic record attesting to the restoration.
This is surely one of the finest restorations of a Healey. Just over 2,800 were originally made - this restored example is possibly better than the original, finished cars.
