1959 Chevrolet El Camino

This stunning custom creation was designed and built by Chip Foose and his team on the TV show Overhaulin . As with everything Chip has a hand in, this car is a true testament to his automotive vision and skill. Not only is this car beautiful, but it is absolutely a treat to drive. Excellent ride and handling characteristics, plenty of power, lots of leg room, cold AC and of course style, style and more style.

Under the hood sits a dressed GM Crate ZZ4 350CI/350HP V8 engine with a BBK fuel injection system which is mated to a 4-Speed Automatic Overdrive Transmission. CPP and Detroit Speed components were selected for the quick ratio steering, oversized front sway bar and power disc brakes set ups. A custom dual exhaust system was fitted including ceramic coated headers, electric exhaust cut-outs, performance mufflers and resonators at the back. Of course, 20 Custom Foose Wheels were selected and fitted with Nitto P245/45s up front and 305/35 ZR20s at the rear...the stance is perfect.

Inside the cabin a custom 2-tone Leather treatment was applied to the bench seat and side panels with deep cut-pile carpeting and a color coordinated suede headliner. The power side and vent windows work quietly and smoothly and the Vintage Air system keeps everything cool and comfortable. The dash, instrumentation shows as new...every surface has been restored and upgraded so the feeling inside is fresh and functional.

The exterior is absolutely gorgeous, the custom tu-tone finish is excellent throughout as is the stainless and chrome trim. The bed finish is equally nice, a black textured coating has been applied to the center bed floor section making it functional for carrying cargo if needed and the tinted glass has all been replaced.
