Classic Car Overview

West Coast Classics are proud to present an exceptional fully nuts and bolts restored customized example of this 1959 Chevrolet Apache Series (cousin/equivalent to 100 Series GMC Truck) 1/2 ton Stepside Short Bed Pick Up Truck with a newly installed crate 350 V8 engine, which is very powerful for this truck matched to a 700R4 automatic transmission, with only some 912 break in miles on the build. The truck is a superb looking and great daily driving example with many modern upgrades including electronic ignition, all new retro classic gauges, AM radio, power steering & Vintage air conditioning! The truck has five fairly new Goodyear tires on stock wheels. The Black color paint is quite exceptional as is the custom interior which also boasts a heater, back up light and its original factory type in dash AM Chevrolet radio and speaker. This great daily driving 1959 Chevrolet Apache Stepside Pick Up is simply a stunning turn key ready daily driver for any classic truck enthusiast. The wooden bed is also fully restored as is the undercarriage and everything is in quite exceptional condition. The 1/2 ton Chevrolet pick up was renamed the 3100 in the 1940s and they were outselling the Fords with a 33.8% market share in 1949 compared to Fords 21.6%. But Chevy couldnt afford to be complacent and by 1950 there were several welcome improvements such as double acting all around shock absorbers and a circuit-braking lighting system. The Thriftmaster six offered slightly more power due to a Rochester power jet down draft carburetor, larger valves and a straight through muffler. In the year 1955 the Thriftmaster engine was increased to 235 c.i. (3851cc) with an increase in both bore and stroke and in 1958 they were renamed the Apache Series until 1961 when they became known as the Full size C Series for Chevrolet and the 1000 Series for GMC.This particular trucks brand new 350 V8 crate engine with only 912 miles runs strong and sounds absolutely magnificent and the truck drives very well - must be driven to be appreciated - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable daily driver! This is a great opportunity to own a beautifully and tastefully restored custom example of this very desirable 1959 Chevrolet Apache Deluxe Stepside Pick Up with modern upgrades in very fine daily driving condition ready for any classic American truck, collector or enthusiast to simply enjoy or collect today!
