From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

If your looking for a Arizona 1958 2 door Thunderbird with very little to complete restoration, this may be your car.  The car has a stock 352 cu. in. engine and runs extremely well.  This is an Arizona car that was going through a restoration 25 years ago and the owner lost interest after completing new paint and complete interior.  It has been in a garage the entire time. After sitting for so long and to get it ready for sale, since as the owner can't physically work on it, he had the following done my a mechanic.  New Master Brake and wheel cylinders, New gas tank , new battery and rebuilt the carburetor.  Items he has but need to be installed are the original wheel skirts in the trunk and he has the new visors.  The wind shield wipers work but blades need to be installed.  A/C needs some work. The fan and compressor works and may be as simple as adding Freon. The odometer is not correct since a new one was installed back when and somewhere he wrote down the old reading but hasn't found it yet . Both the door door  windows need to be replaced. Power Steering works but a hose has a leak.  Lights seem to work OK. Elect windows not working and owner remembers that one window motors is missing.  No rust anywhere I can find and paint should be able to be buffed out since it has never seen daylight since it was done.  I am not the owner but trying to help a friend who is not into using computers.  Feel free to call the owner, Bob to get additional information at (520) 471-2742.
