1958 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
Convertible Car for sale in newport beach, California 92663
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.

This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale in Newport Beach, CA. The 1958 Corvette is what many consider to be the most desirable of the C1s. In an era of chrome and four headlamps, the Corvette incorporated to the look of the day. The newly redesigned 58 would carry over the 56 and 57 changes while adding dramatic ones to them. The most recognizable of those was the quad headlamps wrapped in a thick chrome bezel. The 1958 model year and the four that followed all had the exposed four-headlamp treatment and prominent grills, but, the louvered hood and chrome trunk spears were only found on the 1958. That year the interior and instruments were updated, including placing a tachometer directly in front of the driver. For the 1958 model, an 8000-rpm tachometer was used with the 270 hp (200 kW) and 290 hp engines, rather than the 6000 rpm units used in the lower horsepower engines. Optional engine choices included two with twin carburetors (including a 270 hp model with Carter 2613S and 2614S WCFB four-barrels) which this model has . Displacement for both choices remained 283 cid. For the first time, seat belts were factory-installed rather than being dealer-installed as on previous models. Rare options were RPO 684 heavy-duty brakes and suspension (144), RPO 579 250 hp engine (554), RPO 276 15"×5.5" wheels. This is a numbers matching 58! It’s a beautiful investment grade car and shows why people still fall for these cars today. The removable hardtop is great option and gives these c1 s a distinct look. The paint on this 58 shows very well. The formal “Tuxedo Black” with the “Silver” coves is truly an attention grabber for everyone. Under the hood is the original 283 that runs amazing! This American icon is ready for the road or show. The optional famous power glide transmission gave the 58 just another reason why enthusiasts enjoy driving them today. Just hit the gas and go! The interior of the car is just as nice as the exterior with black vinyl complementing the exterior nicely. That big 3 spoke steering wheel is just what you would expect in one of these cars. The dash on these cars is such a great fit with the half-moon design allowing for the speedo placement not to mention the tach mounted on the steering wheel post. This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette include original Wonderbar AM Radio as well as a hidden entertainment system. If you have been looking for an extremely clean “California” 58 Vette that has been with the same family for over 25 years, this is one is for you..
