Model History:
Perhaps the most iconic bodystyle of Porsche's 356, the Speedster began life at the behest of US importor Max Hoffman. According to him, a lower-cost, reasonably spartan open-top roadster was exactly what the brand needed to increase sales. He was quickly proven correct, with the new "Speedster" version and its distinctive cut-down raked windscreen proving quite popular wherever roads were twisty and the weather was nice.

With such an enduring legacy, it was only natural for companies to produce recreations of this sensational model.
