1957 Pontiac Bonneville

Named for the Salt Flats, world renown for the place to set world land speed records, the first ever Bonneville was the only Pontiac that featured Rochester mechanical fuel injection as standard. The blistering 315 Horsepower was the first Pontiac styled by the pen of a young ambitious executive Bunkie Knudsen, tasked with the mission of crafting a fresh image for GMs performance division. This top-of-the-line Pontiac endowed with all the deluxe features and flamboyant use of chrome throughout out is standard. This Mid Century ideal of luxury performance resulted in increased production costs, bringing the sticker price up to $5,782, on par with Cadillac. Only 630 of these fantastic Bonnevilles were ever produced. Of those, fewer than 10% were finished in Kenya Ivory over Fontaine Blue. Keys to Collectability Only 100 of 630 built were produced in coveted Kenya Ivory/Fontaine Blue with matching blue and white leather interior.
