VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. Classic Car Overview

Got the car from the deceased owner's brother....and with a multi page accounting of ALL of the work he did. A brief summary: body stripped to bare metal and redone in show quality black paint (a few small mars from use, now, but still gorgeous and ready for show), new cloth wiring harness (this stuff is not in order, just sort of random), new Falcon SS exhaust, new front and rear brakes, DOT 5 brake fluid, heat wrapped exhaust manifold, 4 new Coker wide whitewall tires (not to your taste? Can easily be removed), new wire wheels, new trans and engine mounts, refinished Walnut dashboard, rebuilt engine, new camshaft, new rockers, new timing gears. New fan shroud, new water pump, new clutch, all new hydraulics, new fuel tank, new fuel gauge sender, head magnafluxed and fitted with larger Stellite valves, new unleaded seats, new guides, complete transmssion rebuild with new layshaft, uprated 2nd gear synchro new bearings and seals, new voltage regulator, rebushed clutch pivot, rebuilt SU carbs, new bumpers and grille, new stayfast cloth top, rebuilt radiator, the list continues.....page and page. What a car. Done to 'keep' and he would have. But, alas, the owner is gone and a NEW owner can enjoy this spectacular MGA. How does it go? Has the power of a 1600 or even a 1600 Mk II, tight, precise, no rattles, really awesome. And yes, even has a modern stereo and a (yikes!) power antenna. A really great MGA.
