Offered by Cars Remember When is this survivor 1957 Mercedes-Benz 220S Cabriolet. Produced from March 1956 to October 1959, the 220S was built in sedan, coupe and cabriolet configurations. They only made 1,066 of the combined coupe/cabriolets in 1957 with only 110 cabriolets knowing to exist today.
This specific 220S went through a restoration in Germany and got new paint and interior upholstery. (See detailed restoration photos at end of photo gallery) Since restored, it was imported to the United States and was stored in a garage in Grand Junction, Colorado and driven to occasional car shows. It has lived the majority of the last 30 years in a garage.
Frame number 7504326 matches the vin and the engine number also reads 7504326 which also matches the vin. The drivetrain of this Mercedes 220S is all-original and still operating smoothly like the day it was new.
