This 1957 Ford Thunderbird convertible is powered by a Thunderbird Special 312ci V8 engine producing 245 horsepower, paired with a 3-speed Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission. Finished in striking Azure Blue with a Colonial White interior, it features a removable white porthole hardtop, fender skirts, and wide whitewall tires mounted on Truespoke wire wheels.
In 1957, the Thunderbird received a notable restyle: the rear deck was lengthened, tailfins were sharpened and slanted outward, and the spare tire was relocated back into the trunk, eliminating the Continental kit. The front and rear bumpers were redesigned, with the rear incorporating prominent exhaust vents at each corner and the front showcasing a wider grille.
Inside, the Thunderbird boasts a redesigned instrument cluster with grouped round gauges behind a 3-spoke steering wheel, new upholstery patterns, and door trim. An optional Town & Country radio is situated beneath the padded dash between the driver and passenger.
Formerly part of the George Shinn Collection, this two-seat convertible has been meticulously maintained in a climate-controlled barn for most of its life, preserving its classic charm and ensuring its excellent condition.
