Classic Car Overview

For sale in our Gateway Classic Cars of Houston showroom is a gorgeous example of a 1957 Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird began life in February 1953 in direct response to Chevrolets new sports car, the Corvette, which was publicly unveiled in prototype form just a month before. Under rapid development, the Thunderbird went from idea to prototype in about a year, being unveiled to the public at the Detroit Auto Show on February 20, 1954. Like the Corvette, the Thunderbird had a two-seat coupe/convertible layout. Elegance is the best single word description of this car personal luxury vehicle. Beautiful bronze colored paint, white top, and white interior, and white wall tires, wow is an appropriate reaction for this car. This beautiful restored survivor has only 40457 ACTUAL miles!! This is a twin top car with the hard top & soft top to go with the car. The car has been through a full frame-off restoration and it shows very well indoors & outside in the sunshine! The car has a new vintage AC system that blows cold. The engine is a healthy-running original to the car 312 CID V8 and is backed by the ever-loved Ford O Matic 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through each gear. The exterior is free from any defects, the interior looks great, overall from bumper to bumper the car is solid and is turn-key ready for car shows & meets. It has the luxury items that would be expected in 1957. This car is ready to win any show you take it to. If you are looking for a fantastic T-bird, then you shouldn t ignore this fine example. The features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio/Cassette, Power Steering, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Wide White Wall Bias Ply Tires.
