1957 Chevrolet Corvette

1957 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster. DGC1121. VIN# E57S101121. 283 V-8 with dual Carbs, 4 Speed, both tops. What an amazing car! The paint and body are beautiful. Venetian Red with a white cove. Its not often that you cannot find a crack in a Corvette body, but I have yet to find one. The whole car is gorgeous from top to bottom. The body was off the frame for its restoration and the frame was sent to Southern California for powder coating. The restoration was complete in 2013 and has been in storage most of the time since then. The car spent most of its life in Idaho Falls, ID. We purchased the car from a friend of the gentleman that had owned it since 1966 and he said he still remembers him bringing it home all those years ago. He also told me that the car had a 400 small block back then with a 3 speed. His friend had a body shop and did all the paint work and restoration himself. The block is a correct 1957 283. 1957 Corvette Bel Air Truck 283 3731548 548 Flint Block. The heads are 1957 also, but he was never certain if they were 245 hp or 270 hp heads. I really like taking this Corvette out and driving it. The first time I took it out I wasnt sure what to think with the dual force on it but I have to tell you it just drives beautifully. Its smooth like just letting out the clutch. Its not jerky or anything. It works great. I drove it over to Anacortes for a Corvette show. took it home the day before the show had it at my garage. You have to come see this one in person, I have a feeling the photos wont do it justice, because its that nice of a car.
