Classic Car Overview
The 1957 Chevrolet is a car which was introduced by GM in September 1956 for the 1957 model year. The 57 Bel Air was 2.5 inches longer than the 56 model and was considered Chevys top of the line model and therefore was given all the bells and whistles and decorative trim needed to make it stand out in a packed field of competitors. Original GM options include the heater, power steering, two-tone interior, wheel knock-offs, front bullet style bumper guards, AM radio, fender skirts, an electric clock, electric wipers, gold anodized trim and dual exhaust. Dealer installed options include the interior lights, carpeting, spare tire, jack, front and rear ashtrays, a cigarette lighter and the highly desired continental Kit which includes the specific bumper brackets, a gravel shield, a chrome tire ring and the wheel carrier. It was frame off restored in 2016 and has been driven 15,655 miles since. Originally it was a two-tone India Ivory / Matador Red. During the restoration the laser straight body was repainted in Matador Red (#802) which really looks amazing. The chrome was all redone, the trim was all polished and everything is in great condition from top to bottom. The interior was redone in its original Red Vinyl / Black/Red pattern cloth that looks elegant with its matching red mats and carpeting. It retains its original 283ci V8 and 2-speed power glide which are included with the purchase. During the restoration it was fit with a 350-crate engine and a T350 transmission to make it more user friendly. Other user-friendly upgrades include the 12-volt conversion, the electronic ignition and the 650cfm Edelbrock carb with an electronic choke. Other than the mentioned upgrades the slight change to the color and a couple of extra gauges inside the car the car is 100% original. We would appraise this as a #2 car and as such would value it at $81,345.00. We have priced it aggressively so if you like what you we encourage you to contact us before it is too late as this is a real piece of American history that is sure to appreciate in value!
