THE ICONIC 1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR – CONCOURS QUALITY!

SEE THE VIDEO (Instructions Below)

HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE…the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air very nearly “speaks for itself” through its timeless style.  It holds its own against its Corvette cousin as one of the 20th century’s most significant automotive milestones.  GM invested heavily in the 1957’s fortunes with expensive changes - including a newly designed dash, sealed cowl structure, and clever relocation of incoming air ducts just above the beautifully designed headlamps.

The 2-door “Sport Coupe” hardtop design of this Bel Air will never go out of style.  Today, only the most expensive 2-door production cars have this design feature.  Indeed, the overall visual impact of the 1957’s new look was such that many referred to it as a “baby Cadillac”!

THIS CAR’S STORY…while visiting Dixie Dream Rods in Ringgold, GA to check on the progress on another of his classic cars, the current owner spotted this Bel Air “in the rough” and managed to strike a deal with the owner.  Then, a comprehensive restoration was planned and started.  The goal was to preserve stock appearance on the body, with mild stylistic upgrades for the interior.  The big changes were reserved for the high-performance drivetrain and suspension.

HAS WON MAJOR AWARDS…the World of Wheels show consistently displays some of the finest restorations anywhere.  This Bel Air won the Atlanta World of Wheels Best in Class award in 2006…and also received major recognition at 2009 and 2011 World of Wheels events.

EXCELLENT INVESTMENT…the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air hardtop is a long-standing “Blue Chip” classic car investment…among the best for value retention and potential future appreciation.

OPERATIONAL REPORT…the car has been enjoyed by the owner and has been driven to many Atlanta metro area show events.  We carefully checked out all functions of operation and can report that everything works at the time of listing.

However, please keep in mind that even the best restored cars will inevitably require various adjustments and repairs (often without notice) in addition to regular maintenance.

Also, oversights on our part are also possible.  Therefore, the car is sold strictly on an as-is basis with no warranties expressed or implied…so you are invited to take a look for yourself before purchase.

ODOMETER NOTE…the exact and correct mileage from the time this car was new in 1957 is not known with certainty due to the mechanical limitations of the original odometer’s design.  Therefore, the indicated mileage of 002413 at the time of listing does not represent the actual mileage.

PAYMENT TERMS…a $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal is required to hold the car for 3 business days, during which time the balance must be paid in full via bank to bank wire transfer…absolutely NO CHECKS! You are welcome to examine the car personally by appointment, but we are limiting appointments to those who fully intend to buy the car, and are coming only to confirm what we are showing in the 100+ images.

IMPORTANT DOCUMENT & CONDITION OF SALE REMARKS…Bill of Sale, and Georgia Registration will be provided to the Buyer.

The state of Georgia does not require titles for vehicles built before 1986.  Therefore, this Bel Air was not issued a title.  The Registration document is the legal document of ownership. Every state observes the DMV rules of all other states, therefore this vehicle may be insured, licensed, registered and driven in any state.  Whether it is titled depends upon the DMV title rules of your state.

This Vehicle is sold strictly as-shown and on a final as-is basis without any warranties expressed or implied. Even the very best restored classics will require additional maintenance and service - often without warning.  Therefore, please expect to continue - as the new owner and caretaker of this classic - to perform additional maintenance and repairs.  We hope that you are able to enjoy the Bel Air without the need for an immediate repair - but understand that this indeed could be found necessary.  As seasoned collectors know, every time you start (or attempt to start) a collectible vehicle is a new experience...it could be a wonderful ride, or a new repair to undertake.  That is the nature of the hobby, and this classic should not be purchased if you are not prepared for this reality. We have presented the car accurately to the best of our ability, but oversights are possible…so we invite pre-purchase inspection for serious buyers.  All sales are final.

Because this car is only lightly driven locally - and is untested for long trips - we recommend that it be transported to its new locale.

We remind you to be sure to review ALL the images and ALL the captions for this modern-day classic - in addition to this description – because they relate important information too!
