1957 CHEVROLET 3600 LONG BED NAPCO POWR-PAK 4X4

This extremely rare NAPCO could be one of the nicest restored in the country. This southern truck was purchased a year ago with the goal of making it the nicest and most correct NAPCO 4X4 ever. It has gone through a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration with no expense spared. Though this truck was extremely solid and in great shape when purchased we disassembled it completely, refurbished and replaced with NOS parts if possible and painstakingly reassembled to better then new from the factory. It is spectacular, original and as correct as we could make it. It runs, drives and performs better than the day it came off the showroom floor. Everything from accessories, color, parts, interior and mechanics are as period as they could be. All-wheel drive system, engine, brakes, wiring, and all mechanical parts have been completely rebuilt back to correct factory specs and are in excellent working order. The bodywork is superb, next to perfect show exterior. It has the period colors of Atlas Blue Green and Wimbledon White exterior with a completely brand new matching interior. Most of the chrome is original as some were also replaced with correct stock. We preferred stainless steel hardware when it could be used and the oak bed looks fantastic. Details like speedometer, wipers, and lights are all in excellent working order. Engine components, battery, detailed new wiring make this truck compete in every

Northwestern American Parts Company (NAPCO) has been in the parts business for many years and started supplying four-wheel drive installation kits in the late forties. Chevy, Ford, GMC, and Studebaker offered them as accessories in the fifties. In 1957 you could order them from the Chevrolet dealer, and others, as a factory option for about a $2500. They are a durable bolt-on system that works extremely well and served a void in the market where 4X4’s were starting to become in demand.  There is not known exactly how many NAPCO Powr-Pak’s where sold, but it is believed to be under 1000. These were discontinued in 1960 as the manufacturers changed the front suspension on their vehicles and the systems did not fit current production models.

Buy this beautiful truck! Thank you.
