Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

Nice solid and complete car.  Flexible on price for QUICK sale!  Very little rust. Pictures show surface rust but they make it look way worse than it is. Only a few tiny spots of penetrating rust. Chrome and stainless shine up great and are complete.  Needs complete work over.  I have owned this car for about 32 years.  I am the third owner.  It was my daily driver from 1985 to 1990. The only known original upgrades were the upgraded heat system and electric windshield wipers. It had about 43,000 miles on it when I bought it and has 80,000- something on it now.  It does not run.  It ran decently up to about 6 years ago.  There was a slight knocking on upper driver side and likely had a sticking valve at that time, but still ran fine.   It has a late 1980's Camaro engine, I believe from a performance model.  It has polished aluminum water pump by B&M, Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold and a Holley carb (600 or 650 cfm, I think) Original 2 speed Powerglide was rebuilt in about 1989.  I also have original block for number matching, but it has been outside for a long time.  It is an original V-8 with silver chevrons and correct radiator.  It has had the battery relocated to the trunk and a transmission oil cooler added.  The original gas tank rusted and I have installed a racing gas cell in the trunk.  I can remove or leave with the car.  Tires were replaced a few years ago, but have sat too long.  Rear tires will air up for trailer loading and hold for a day or two.

I have a clean lien free in hand.
