Such was the pace of GMs innovation, the Eldorado, which had initially been introduced in 1953, entered its third generation in 1957 (as a matter of fact, a two-year cadence on major updates to the Eldorado continued up through the release of the eighth generation car in 1967). Available as a Biarritz convertible or Seville coupe, exclusive rear-end styling ensured an Eldorado couldnt be mistaken for anything else on dealers showrooms, much less on the road.
An aspirational vehicle for many with an MSRP of over $7,000, Eldorados were built with extensive amenities. Essentially every conceivable luxury was standard or available as an optional extra: power steering, power brakes, power windows, a power top, and leather upholstery were included on every Eldorado. Naturally, prices keept the model an exclusive sight, with only 1,800 being produced in 1957. Today, these cars are just as inspiring as they were in the past and make for phenomenal cruisers/show cars.
The magnificent 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertible featured here is finished in highly desireable Dakota Red over a gorgeous Red leather interior with a Black power convertible top. This investment-grade example has been subject to a multi-year, no-expense-spared restoration at an estimated cost of over $200,000. Just after 20 years of collector ownership, we are proud to offer what we believe to be one of the very best examples of this American iconic motorcar to come to market in years. For the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best an investment price!
