This is an excellent off-road vehicle for play or work. Used as an off-road ranch work vehicle for hauling logs and accessing remote areas on northern CA coast property. Full wheel lock 4 wheel drive with manual 3 speed transmission, overdrive, 2WD/4WD transfer case and high/low transfer case. Mechanical
Powerful Ford 260 V8 engine upgrade from 1960, with headers, is in great condition. New oil change on 2/2/25. Car turns on immediately and runs well. The mechanics in these classic CJs are simple to work on and will run forever with few maintenance needs. Original military locking wheel 4WD works great. Special top level CJ-5 transmission with manual 3 speed transmission, overdrive, 2WD/4WD transfer case and high/low transfer case all functioning perfectly.
Exterior
Off road tires with tons of tread left. Comes with a special and rare Arctic hard top, worth $2000 on its own. Some superficial rust dents and scratches from years of off road use. This is a plus if you plan to off road and don't want to worry about a pristine paint job. It has an excellent "tough Jeep" aesthetic. Alternatively, can be sand blasted and repainted to bring back to original glory. Many exterior extras: arctic hard top, winch, class 3 tow bar on front, tow hitch on back, metal gas can holder, full size off road spare tire, CB radio antenna, custom plates.
Interior
Basic Jeep interior with added back seat. Working seatbelts make this car street legal. Functional interior with bare metal makes for easy hose-down after off roading adventures. Front seats can be easily replaced if you want an upgrade. Interior additions of USB and "lighter" charger, compass and CB radio set.
