Classic Car Overview

Astonishingly original 1956 Oldsmobile Super 88! Garage parked Arizona car with no rust and extensive documentation. Options include 324 cu. in. 8 cylinder Rocket engine, Jetaway Hydramatic transmission, tinted windows, aftermarket air conditioner (installed in the 1960s) and aftermarket Air Lift Pneumatic spring controls in the rear end. Original engine, paint, window glass (with the exception of drivers door window), chrome, wheels, hubcaps, spare tire and jack. Has never had any body work done and has only minor paint scratches and 2 barely noticeable dents (with the exception of a ding in the front bumper visible in the photos). Front and rear windows and trunk have original rubber. Interior is original with the exception of the seats which were reupholstered in the last decade. Material is coming loose on the door panels. Arms rests and sun visors need work. Carpet is nice with the exception of the driver's side which is pretty shot. Gas gauge, dash lights, dome light, "cold" light, horn and turn signals all work. Radio comes on but the speaker is probably shot (since it just makes static). Recently replaced tires, brake booster, master cylinder, valve cover gaskets, radiator hoses, preformed heater hoses (where available), thermostat, distributor cap and points, condenser and vacuum advance. Documentation included with the sale: original owners manuals, original shop manual, original sales invoice, original price quotes, some service records, vehicle registrations between 1956 and the early 2000s, various brochures and other ephemera related to the car. Runs and drive great! Lots of more detailed photos available upon request!
