A true custom, this 1956 Ford Thunderbird Custom Topless Roadster, Freebird, was handcrafted at RMD Garage and has the horses to back up its stunning good looks. The GEN 2 5.0L Coyote V8 generates a robust 650 horsepower thanks in part to a Vortech Supercharger. And it speaks with authority. To handle the thrust, RMD fashioned a custom chassis with 4-link adjustable coilover suspension, leaving enough space for 19x8 and huge 20x12 Schott wheels and massive 235/35ZR19 and 315/30ZR20 ultra performance tires. The paint is a custom mix, BASF R-M 2-Stage Galaxy Gray Pearl, thats subtle and sophisticated, and offers the perfect foil for the Moores and Giles Scarlet Red leather interior. The Sparc Industries steering wheel is just the right size, and is mounted on a tilt column. Other luxurious amenities include air conditioning with vents by Restomod Air, power seats, power windows, and a custom center console with an integrated wireless phone charger. More mechanical highlights include a Ford 9-inch rear and Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes with 14-inch drilled and slotted rotors.
