Lights! Cameras! Cars!

One thing that the crew at Volo Auto Museum understands is that context is everything. They have gone the extra mile to display each movie car with memorabilia and signage that brings the scene to life. The museum features actual movie props such as Tom Cruise's racing seat from Days Of Thunder.

Classic Car Overview

The entire truck has been reworked from top to bottom. The truck was a stock, rolling shell when I purchased it back in 2009. The truck went to Performance Restorations in Mundelein, IL for a complete customization. There are well over 700 hours into just the body, bed customization and assembly. We sectioned the cab/doors by removing 2” through them. This gave the truck a chopped looked without actually chopping the top. Added a new 2” wider complete bed, new 2” wider custom smooth tailgate, new 2” wider running boards w/exhaust outlets molded in, custom front roll pan with integrated brake cooling ducts, sectioned and stretched the front and rear fender openings, custom recessed firewall, reverse hinged hood, custom inner fender wells, sectioned and pancaked the hood, added roll bar, custom dash, etc. Billet Lokar touch door handles, 40” LED brake light in the rear roll pan. The rolling chassis is a Roadster Shop Fast Track independent setup. It has an independent front and rear suspension, AFCO front single-adjustable coilovers, parallel 4 bar rear setup, custom 9” rearend. The engine is an LSx 376 with custom Roadster shop stainless headers, Big Stuff EFI, Big Stuff coils, polished ProCharger, Tremec T-56 GM 6 speed transmission with 26 spline input shaft and 31 spline output shaft, Bowler super twin dual clutch, Quicktime bellhousing, T-56 Slik shifter, type 2 hydraulic clutch master kit, Tilton 6000 slip-on, TR56 Magnum slip yoke. Vintage Air complete A/C system. Wilwood big brake kit front and rear, Forgeline 12 spoke satin black wheels, 20 x 11 fronts on Pirelli Pzero 305/35ZR20 tires, 22 x 12 rears on Pirelli Pzero 335/25R22XL (Lamborghini) tires. Leather Corbeau racing seats, Billet specialties black steering wheel on a custom tilt column. Majority of the parts are already installed, but some parts are new and still in their original boxes. The truck is a project vehicle, over $220k has been spent to get it in its current form, it does not run and comes with NO warranty. Truck is sold as is.
