Classic Car Overview
1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Hardtop. I have owned this car since high school in the early 1990s. I am selling because life has changed. My wife and I now have five young kids, and I just do not have the time to enjoy the car like I used to. I would like to see it go to someone who can enjoy it as much as I have over the years.
I am originally from California, which is where I bought the car, and I owned it there for many years. In 2013, my wife surprised me by having it shipped enclosed from California to Tennessee as a wedding gift.
This classic Chevy is powered by a rebuilt 305 small-block V8 installed in 2013 and is paired with the original cast-iron 2-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Within the last year, the carburetor was rebuilt and the Powerglide transmission was repaired by well-regarded local mechanics and shops.
The car is turquoise and white with matching interior, wide whitewall radial tires, and period-style wheels. It is a good, solid driver that shows well, with some normal wear and imperfections from age. The gas gauge is not currently working. The odometer reading is shown as displayed; actual mileage is unknown. It is garage kept. It is going to be hard to say goodbye, but I know it is time.
Secure payment and title transfer can be handled through KeySavvy for a safe, straightforward transaction.
