1956 Chevrolet Bel Air

In just a few short years, Walter P. Chrysler took his company from an unknown automotive manufacturer to fourth in the industry. Walter Chrysler was a perfectionist with a deep mechanical background. This aspect, probably more than anything, helped to make Chrysler Corporation grow quickly.
A viable alternative that's still daring and different, the 1968 Chevy Impala SS 427. SS 427 Impalas are very distinctive and unique. Sales were modest, so finding an Impala SS 427, especially a convertible, could be a little challenging.
Classic Car Overview
Fabulous restomod! This 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door Sedan received a nut-and-bolt restoration seven years ago, giving it the right stance and stature and a touch of attitude. Looks pretty much stock with its currently registered year-of-model rear plate--I have both rear and front YOM plates--but it’s been upgraded throughout. It’s loaded, and it's a beauty to look at and an absolute dream to drive. Mileage: the other post-restoration owner inserted a new/custom gauge set at ~ 12,000 miles (2017). The newer odometer now reads 2320 miles. The up-to-date DMV registration assigned the following VIN to the car: C56L062164
Powered by a Chevy Performance Ramjet (#19355815) 350ci/350hp complete with HEI ignition and stand-alone computer. That’s linked up to a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with heavy-duty auxiliary transmission cooler...Ford 9” rear with 3.50 gears. It’s dressed up to be period correct with finned valve covers and a vintage air cleaner unit. With Saginaw-style power steering, disc brakes all around, air conditioning, front power windows, upgraded gauges and AM/FM radio with cassette, she starts, idles, runs and performs beautifully in every way.
Excellent bodywork, laser-straight, flawless Pinecrest Green and Ivory paint with understated badging. Always garaged. The bumpers, grille and all of the chrome/stainless trim were replaced...all are show-quality. Except for a tiny/1.0mm chip, the glass is like new. The undercarriage is as nice as the topside; a stainless steel exhaust system sets it off nicely.
This beauty sits on custom rally wheels, 16” in back, 15” up front with very nice Goodyear LS tires (P245/70R16 in the rear; P215/70R15up front.)
The interior is custom mint green leather/cloth in the original pattern.
Here is a video of the undercarriage right off the street. (Mark it and past it into your browser.) Just some normal road dust under there. No special cleaning done for this video.
This is a gorgeous, iconic vehicle priced to sell; comes with various spares including glasspack mufflers and stock BelAir badging.
