Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

What a pretty car. The colors, wire hubcaps and big whitewalls make this good looking car even that much better. Has power steering and brakes, auto trans so it is easy to drive. Its from a collector that we have dealt with for decades. He has owned this car 19 years! He has won multiple Chevy Vettefest Gold spinner awards with judging sheets of 956/1000 possible points and 959/1000. EXTERIOR: It is a sharp looker. It is glossy and straight with a few minor imperfections you would have to look for. The paint is polished to a smooth shiny finish. It has optional fender skirts. These are the factory colors according to the factory trim tag. All the chrome and trim is fantastic. The bumpers, headlight bezels, hood ornament, mirrors, handles, grill surround and taillights are replaced. The stainless trim including down the sides, top of doors and around the windshield is mint. Vent window pillar is mint. New windshield and gasket. The weatherstrips, window fuzzy seals, window channel, vent window gasket has all been replaced. The white convertible top is still in excellent shape. Doesnt even show any wrinkles, the plastic window is still crystal clear. The top frame was restored and it has new cloth wrapped rubber. The optional wire wheel basket hubcaps on the radial white wall tires are a nice touch. It also has dual mirrors, original type antenna and reverse lights. INTERIOR: Its been completely restored to stock condition. The seats not only are correctly reupholstered but they have new cushions and feel nice and firm. All the side panels, visors and top boot have been replaced. The dash area is in very nice shape, it looks like the trim, speedo lense has been replaced. Has a stock original AM radio, if you open the glove box there is a stereo and there are kick panel speakers. The carpet is replaced with the correct short loop and there are also embroidered floor mats. Seat belts front and back have been added. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: There are two key ingredients that I see- power steering and power brakes. Both are factory units. The motor compartment is restored to look completely stock right down to the manifolds, valve covers and air cleaner. It has reproduction GM hoses and clamps, correct glass bowl filter, original windshield washer system. The motor is the # match 265 V-8. Everything is cleaned up and painted very nicely. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Appears to be solid metal painted white and has a correct black rubber mat. The rim and jack are restored, the white wall spare has never been used. The latches have been restored. UNDERSIDE: The floors appear to be in great shape. Has factory ribs and seams, no patches. Painted red oxide, chassis is sprayed black, bottom of motor has a clean coat of red, gas tank is a clean siver. The front end is good. New upper control arms and bushings. Brakes have been redone. New shocks, air shocks in back. This is a great driver that can also be shown. Easy to drive, easy to maintain. It will turn heads looking as good as it does!
