Classic Car Overview

Just in and ready for sale...............32,000 (legally documented) original miles, one owner for most of its life, interesting history.

A Massachusetts woman got the car after High School graduation...........owned it since then. As we were told, engine was rebuilt eight years ago, (and barely used since them) the same time, was painted (in its original color) due to faded original paint, and interior redone. Was then taken to a family Summer home on Cape Cod, not driven since. Prior to being sold, went to a local restoration shop for all new brakes, carbs sent to Joe Curto for rebuilding, other minor work, and now...........to us. Owned by the same person for 66 years.

When acquired some of the gauges were not working but now, all have been rebuilt and are in perfect working order. And in our tests: runs 60 psi oil pressure, zero smoke, compression exactly 175 psi right across (obvious question, 'high compression pistons fitted?'). And when driving, steering, brakes, shocks, suspension all felt perfect, gearbox quiet and with good synchromesh.

As for the rest, we sold the car four years ago with under 32,200 miles, now 37,700 miles), THAT owner put 10k of work in the car to add further improvements: new top and tonneau in Stayfast cloth, all new tan leather interior, new wiring harness, all electricals work (and most are new), new wire wheels, tubes, and tires, car never had seat belts (and this is over a period of nearly seventy years), now fitted by us. Chrome is excellent, engine ID plate and chassis plate have `matching numbers` and an interesting point about the 1.5 liter XPEG engine is that it is the last true MG engine used in an MG car...subsequent MGs used either the Austin A Series (in Sprites and Midgets) or the Austin B Series (in MGAs and MGBs) engines.

The rarest of post war T Series MGs with only 3,400 built.............THIS IS THE CAR TO HAVE ....... beautiful and quite elegant body lines with sweeping fenders, graceful dash and interior, and with wonderful driving characteristics. Precise steering, sure braking, lively acceleration, IF you love the looks of a Morgan but are reluctant to shake loose some fillings, this TF fits the bill with its soft ride and effortless operation.

Many of the lovely qualities of a prewar car: folding windshield, cut down doors, a dash filled with lots of instruments, YET as a post war car, effortless to use synchromesh transmission, hydraulic brakes, rack and pinion steering, and coil spring front suspension.

And hard to find such a rarity, one owner (let me expand on this...WAS one owner until we sold it four years ago, this 'second owner' put on less than 600 miles, just reacquired by us.....so, okay, legally 'two owners' but STILL this car was owned by the same person for 95% of its life), 32,800 original miles, less tan 1,000 miles on a rebuilt engine and carbs, all new brakes, new paint, excellent chrome, new cloth top and tonneau, all working original gauges, wire wheels...........
