Classic Car Overview

NOT TO SCAMMERS-NO CERTIFIED CHECKS This red 1955 MG TF Convertible was restored in the past, the seller states, and photos show the car appearing in good overall condition. The MG is said to be fully drivable and ready to enjoy. The seller notes some paint blemishes and a couple of other minor faults below, including a finicky wiper switch and non-working clock. (Though you probably wouldnt be driving in the rain or worrying about the time in a classic MG.)

The MG TF, last of the T-series Midget models that dated to the 1930s, was mainly a styling update on the TD. The faired-in headlights and slicked-back radiator grille freshened the look, but the TF was just a placeholder for the arrival of the modern MGA. As a result, about 9,600 TFs were made over two model years, making it a relatively rare last-of-its-kind car. MG aficionados particular like the center-dash octagonal gauges, which were used only in the TF and mimicked the MG brand logos shape. The TF was still a light and zippy handler thanks to the independent front suspension and rack-and-pinion steering carried over from the TD.
This 1955 MG TF Convertible was restored in the past, with a full repaint.
The 1.5-liter OHV inline-four is believed original.
The wooden floors were replaced in the restoration, the seller states.
According to the seller, the MG has suffered no body damage.
The MGs repaint appears good overall, with some minor blemishes.
The grille and other chrome appear to shine nicely in the provided photos.
The car has the correct banjo-style steering wheel.
The tan soft top appears to be in good condition inside and out.
This car has the optional wire-spoke wheels with knock-off hubs.
More recently, rear springs and front disc brakes have been replaced
