1955 Thunderbird 292 Y Block V8 Automatic Original engine and automatic transmission Power steering, Continental Kit Torch Red factory color R code Chrome air cleaner cover Upgraded finned polished aluminum valve covers Dress up chrome bay fan shroud and heater fan housing. Engine was removed, painted and refreshed, with new gaskets, seals as well as hoses and belts less than 1,000 miles. Engine bay was painted at the same time car was painted. Southern California car restored approx 2008, stored and covered indoors. Near flawless body and paint, lazer straight lines and gaps. Front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and look incredible. Chrome headlights brows, original unrestored steering wheel and other features make this classic standout from other similar cars. This Baby TBird has won numerous awards of excellence and trophies at local and major car shows. Single family owned and loved since 1988 in Southern California. The 1955 Thunderbird was designed by well known Legendary Designer Frank Hershey who designed Duesenbergs, Buicks, Packards, Peerless, Pontiacs, Cadillacs and Fords. Little known story about this car is that Frank Hershey has been for more than few drives in this car.
