1955 Ford F100 Pickup

For consignment, a 1955 Ford F100 pickup showing 3,676 miles, but the true miles are unknown. This built truck combines the chassis of a 70s Camaro up front and an S10 in back, now housing a 350ci V8 under the hood with a performance camshaft, according to our consignor.

Exterior
After the color, the first thing you notice is the stance which is low slung over those 15-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, hovering just over the asphalt with that body of Vermillion Red paint. This two stage coat of paint makes everything not red pop on the truck including the V-shaped grille trim, headlights, step plate rails, and those sinister black wheels. The red glistens like glossy lipstick reflecting every bit of light and showing off the heavily louvered hood like a champ! Bulging fenders are connected with a wide running board that gives way to exhaust tips while taillights now present as flush LED rectangles on the roll pan. The bed is a show worthy work of art with a matching storage box and wood planks divided by red rails. We get close to note imperfections and they include some general inclusions, touched up chips, a few untouched, bubbling, areas of dullness, filler, scuffs, and a few scratches.

Interior
The doors are dressed smartly in black vinyl and the bench seat also presents in black. Up front, a Grant GT steering wheel fronts the body colored dashboard that houses simple TPI Tech gauges ahead and a row of smaller units towards the center, all with matching red needles. Ahead of the passenger is an AM/FM/CD radio embedded in the glossy red treatment. A center stack provides some storage ahead of the B&M shifter that rises from the transmission tunnel over low pile black carpet that is clean. Speakers live in the finished footwells and black vinyl cover the ceiling and back wall where youll find a sliding rear window.

Drivetrain
Don some sunglasses for this one because under the hood is a chrome laden 350ci V8, bored .030 over with a performance camshaft, polished Edelbrock intake and an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. Its mated to a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission routing power to the 10 bolt rear axle. Headers are on board along with power brakes and power steering and all components, including the radiator shell, are polished chrome!

Undercarriage
Less showy underneath but certainly clean, heres where dual exhaust runs through FlowMaster mufflers which lead to tailpipes slanting towards the sides to exit ahead of the rear wheels. Power brakes get their cues from the CPP master cylinder which controls discs in front and drums in back through copper nickel copper brake lines. Suspension includes coil springs with SPC Performance adjustable front control arms and leaf springs in back.

Drive-Ability
This red pickup starts up without hesitation and puts out a healthy exhaust note. We grab the B&M and send it onto the test loop where the truck puts down good power, straight tracking, and very good handling. We note a component of the wiper motor hitting something in the dash when they are engaged, but all other functions on this show ready F100 work as intended. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
