1955 Ford Crown Victoria

This 1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria Skyliner is finished in two-tone pink and white over matching vinyl upholstery, and power comes from a 272ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. One of a reported 1,999 examples built for 1955, the Skyliner was equipped with an acrylic roof panel, and additional features include dual-exit exhausts, front and rear bench seats, whitewall tires, power steering, a push-button radio, and an aftermarket oil pressure gauge. The current owner acquired the car in 2017 following a refurbishment in the 1990s. This Crown Victoria Skyliner is now offered with service records, a manual, Finished from the factory in two-tone Tropical Rose and Snowshoe White (WE), the car is said to have been refinished in the 1990s. Features include a tinted acrylic roof panel, a hood ornament, rear fender skirts, dual exhaust outlets with bright finishers, and chrome bumpers with overriders. There is a rust bubble on the right door, and additional imperfections highlighted in photos below are seen around the headlight trim, on the right quarter panel, and along the edges of both doors and fender skirts. Body-color 15 steel wheels with bright covers are mounted with Coker Classic wide-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is provided by drums at all four corners. The seating surfaces are upholstered in white vinyl with pink inserts. Appointments include a manually-adjustable front seat, power windows, front seatbelts, a push-button radio, a clock, a MagicAire heater, and a dome light. The seller states that a rear power window is inoperable. The white two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a transparent instrument panel consisting of a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles, approximately 650 of which were added under current ownership. An aftermarket oil pressure gauge is mounted under the dashboard, and the speedometer cable was removed and lubricated in 2022. The Y-block 272ci V8 was factory rated at 162 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission.
