The Chevy Rally wheels are 15-inch all around and carry staggered width tires and exhaust pipes peek out under the bumperettes back. Imperfections are few with some paint runs, a scratch, and paint chips. Interior With the cream window frame, the saddle leather that adorns the door panels presents handsomely with just the right amount of stitch design and a carpeted lower insert. Tall modern bucket seats in saddle bring this car into the 21st century and flank a sizable console with storage and requisite cupholders. The rear seats and sidewalls fit together like a brown leather puzzle with perfect gaps and supportive padding. A reddish wood rims the Grant steering wheel with plenty of shellac and shares space on the column for a Bosch tachometer. Up front, the bowtie stamped mid panel intersects a cream painted dash with off white Dolphin vintage style gauges, the perfect addition to the chrome rimmed instrument cluster. An AM/FM radio is to the right and a clock at the far right, while a Hurst shifter rises from the transmission tunnel coated in black carpet. This carpet also covers the fully finished and voluminous trunk and the entire interior is show ready clean! Drivetrain Wed pop the hood at show too, to show off the 350ci with an aluminum intake sitting under three 2-barrel carburetors with finned M/T valve covers dressing things up even more. Theres a newer aluminum radiator along with power steering and power brakes. An NV3500 5-speed transmission is behind the engine sending power to the 3.36 geared rear axle. Undercarriage Beautiful clean conditions are found underneath where we have a newer gas tank, and dual exhaust that finds its way to FlowMaster mufflers before running tandem to the back bumper. Brakes are equipped as power discs in front and power drums in the back. Heavy duty sway bars have been added to the suspension system which includes front coil springs and heavy duty leaf springs in back. Drive-Ability You advance about 70 years by going from the stock appearing outside to the interior where the modern seats are a vast improvement over anything from the 50s and provide the perfect place from which to get this show car moving. All six barrels work together to fuel the engine and the exhaust note is a good one. On the test loop, the car proves to be a good runner with surefooted handling, nice visibility, and plenty of power underfoot. The heater blower is not working but all other functions operate as they should and its time to put this one on display with a price tag.
