It has a lot of mods from front to rear including the 385 cubic inch engine, Borg Warner T56 6-speed transmission, interior and seats are faux saddle leather done by Frans Upholstery in Manteca California, painted a nice Nassau Blue which was a mid sixties GM color, and riding on American Racing Torque Thrust D Wheels shod with Black Sidewall tires, that makes it a Very Nice, Fast, and Great Handling 55 Chevy.

The engine in ours is a modified 385 cubic inch engine with a 4.040 bore and 3.75 stroke, High nickel 1970 corvette LT1 casting, custom grind solid roller camshaft, aluminum intake, AFR Aluminum Heads, Holley Sniper Fuel Injection, headers flowing to the dual exhaust, Chevrolet aluminum finned logo valve covers, and a chrome open element air cleaner.
It has a tremendous list of parts to back the engine up including the Borg Warner T56 that was part of a conversation kit from McLeod clutches, 4-wheel disc brakes, CPP Power Steering with Power Rack-N-Pinion, a 9 inch Ford Rear End, traction bars from Cal Tracks by Calvert racing, an aluminum radiator, electric radiator fan, A-Arm uppers are Heidts, the lowers are stock 55 Chevy, and air conditioning.
The painted and detailed engine compartment completes the look and will look good at all the cruises and shows.
Interior
As you can see, it has a custom saddle/rust leather interior done in faux leather by Frans Upholstery in Manteca California, with the full split front bench seat, matching rear seat and door panels, with Billet dash insert with Auto Meter gauges and Clock Vintage, A/C, aftermarket Pioneer Stereo System , all new Tinted Glass, stainless dash with gauges, chrome shifter, polished and wood steering wheel, black carpeting, and looks fabulous!
This 55 is as nice and comfortable as you will ever find.
Exterior
Our 1955 has the classic look and feel as it did back when it was new, only better this time around with its deep Nassau Blue paint which was a mid-sixties GM color.
It has nice front and rear chrome bumpers, stainless rocker moulding, all new Tinted Glass, great chrome and trim, the Iconic jet airplane hood ornament, while riding on, while riding on American Racing Torque Thrust D Wheels and Black Sidewall tires.
Conclusion
The restored 1955 Chevrolet we have at Skyway Classics has the look as it did in 1955, only better and with a lot more power, creature comforts and better handling.
