Classic Car Overview
There was very little rust to repair, sanded and it shaped very easily. Stayed in my backyard for several years until I decided what to do with it. Either original, keep the straight six or total restoration with a new engine, drive train, disc brakes, etc. I opted for Hot Rod. I hope you like it.
The paint project is complete with 3 coats of base 2 clear. We stayed away from metallic or candied paint... too hard to match if a repair was needed. All new windows, chrome, gauges, wiring harness, etc. Drives great, so if you want a quick start, I installed a 9" Ford rear axle to stabilize any jump, hop or sway from a 300 HP, 350 cc restored Chevy short block from Phoenix Engines. Totally rebuilt with a Speed Pro Cam and a Edelbrock 4 Barrel Carb, the finished sound is augmented with a pair of Flowmaster Delta 50 mufflers giving you a nice rumble at idle but won't scare the dogs when pulling out of the neighborhood. Finally, I decided to install a GM rebuilt 700r4 transmission so you're not busy with a shifter the whole trip.
