Restored by our consignors father and friend, it was given to him in 2010 and this vibrant example of the desirable panel delivery is ready for a new home! Exterior Its like a toy truck thats come to life, especially in its glossy coat of two stage Commercial Red that likely took a few gallons to cover all of the real estate here. Of course, the matching 16-inch red wheels with beauty rings and hubcaps, wrapped in white wall tires, are the perfect complement. The call outs and hardware including door handles and mirrors are in very nice condition as is the robust grille that presents like tubular mirrors. Barn door style doors in back are adorned with lights and flanked by markers and we note this bumper is just under par with the rest of the chrome. The tall profile is accentuated by the wide fenders and underscored by black running boards. Imperfections are limited to small bubbling on lower areas. Interior Lets start in the cargo area where black painted planks on the floor are flanked by black walls, all presenting well. Gray inserts on black inner doors lead to biscuit tufted gray cloth bucket seats with armrests and thats where any modernity ends because the steering wheel and dashboard are wonderfully period correct with a simple layout of two gauges relaying six bits of information, black faced against a body colored steel dash. Black loop carpet is at our feet and black vinyl softens the ceiling above us, completing this very clean and simple interior. Drivetrain The bay presents cleanly as well and houses a 235.5ci inline six cylinder, rated at 140 horsepower and fueled by a 1-barrel carburetor. Its mated to a 3 speed manual on the tree that routes power to the rear axle with 3.70 gears. The truck still runs on a 6 volt system. Undercarriage The clean theme continues underneath where theres a lack of rust of any kind and just a few drops of oil on the pan. Leaf spring suspension is employed front and back, as are drum brakes. The single exhaust carries a stock style muffler and exits behind the rear bumper. Drive-Ability As a farm town not far from the dairy lands of Lancaster, Morgantown has probably seen its share of panel deliveries. But this red one has quite a presence on our test loop and performs nicely during our short drive. Its a big vehicle that gives you a commanding view of the road and with these seats, the cabin is a comfortable place to be. We note the wipers and rear turn signals are not working and the horn clicks, but thats not enough to move sheep out of the road. All other functions operate as they should.
