Windy City Warriors

From around 1956 until the mid 1980s, Dodge, Plymouth and even Chrysler squads were the most ubiquitous police cars in North America. In fact, the biggest department, the NYPD, used Plymouth and Dodge squads almost exclusively until the rear-drive M body car was finally axed in 1989.

Savoy Faire is Everywhere

The no-frills Savoy two-door sedan was home to another engine of considerable repute, the infamous 413 Max Wedge, a Super Stock monster block Chrysler introduced in the spring of 1962.

Classic Car Overview

1955 Buick Roadmaster Convertible Having adopted General Motors new C bodies in 1954, Buicks top-line Roadmaster received a face- and tail-lift for 1955, with a fresh screen-mesh grille, tall, bold taillights and gold-colored ornaments. Industry-wide, 1955 was a year of great color, and Buick was an eager participant, using the body-side Riviera spear, first seen in 1949, as a separation for two-tone schemes. The year 1955 was magic for most American automakers, and Buick was no exception. Industry sales reached nearly eight million cars, a record. Buicks total, too, was a record, 781,296 cars, nearly 60 percent better than 1954, and for the second year in a row, keeping Plymouth out of third place. What a gorgeous looking automobile...the lines, the chrome, the everything Theres just nothing you cant like in this car. This Dover White convertible with blood red leather interior will just take your breath away. Then once you catch your breath, the power of the 322ci nail head engine and Dyno Flo transmission will do it all over again. Lets talk about the options of this car...to start with, it has power steering and brakes under the hood, then moving into the passenger compartment we find power windows, door locks, seat, and power top. This is a very solid automobile top to bottom, front to back, no disappointments here. Put the top down and head for the open road.
