Classic Car Overview

1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner - VIN U4FC208820

239 Y-Block OHV V-8, 3 Speed column shift with overdrive.

Conventional wisdom says that when buying a classic, get the best one you can find.  If you think you can do better than First Place at Hershey (see the badge and trophies), by all means keep looking.  This car literally needs nothing.  It's ready to win any show or cruise night you bring it to.

Presented in its original colors of Torch Red over white and red, with a black convertible top.  Lovingly restored by myself and a select group of professionals I've come to know over the past 50 years.

I bought it in 2007 as an enjoyable car that needed nothing.  Between then and 2011, I did everything.  All work done to original factory standard with either it's original parts completely restored or genuine Ford NOS (new old stock) parts.  I even retained the 6 volt system.  The overdrive is not original to the car but it is the correct unit.  I added a clock disable switch to prevent battery drain.

The original bumpers have been re-chromed.  NOS parts include the Grille, Dashboard Bezels, Mirrors, Exterior Trim, Roof Handle (spare included), and Hubcaps.  The convertible top was custom made to the exact patterns and fits perfectly.

The body was painstakingly restored on-frame.  Everything lines up perfectly.  The engine was restored with a period correct cam to give it a little extra muscle.  Please see the 30 second video to see how eaily it starts and what it sounds like at idle, and at rev.  The dual exhaust and electric fuel pump are also non-factory.

Thanks for looking.  I hate to part with this car but by declining health means I just can't enjoy it anymore. This car deserves the best custodian I can find.
