Classic Car Overview
The vintage truck market is heating up with the mainstream Chevys and Fords, but when was the last time you saw a 1954 Dodge C1 custom pickup? And this has everything you want, including a vibrant style, a custom interior, air conditioning, an upgraded suspension, and a sought-after five-window cab. And oh yeah, the powerhouse is the mighty 440ci V8 with added fuel injection! 1954 was the first year for the C-series trucks, and nearly 70 years later, these are worth it for the rarity alone. But thats not what really attracted you. These pickups were the perfect place to add custom work. After all, they came straight from the factory with a blocky front end, and the butterfly hood design almost looks like this has a racing stripe built right into it. So it just seems right to upgrade the style with features like deleted bumpers, chrome grille, bright dual exhaust tips, and a bright set of Weld racing wheels with wider rear tires for an awesome stance. Plus, the bed looks great. It has a full soft tonneau, and its fully carpeted underneath. Theres even a seamless sealed louvered tailgate for a true spotty finish to this pickup. And we bet you just love the paint. While the yellow is vibrant and custom it also stays in the Mopar family with a version of the Dodge Vipers color. Its glossy and attractive, but with the right look where this pickup still isnt afraid to hit the road and get to work. The special five-window cab lets in extra light, and there are plenty of extras to see in this custom interior. Theres a fresh look and feel to the black carpeting, headliner, and cool diamond pattern seat. Its built to be more like a comfortable cruiser with nice extras like air conditioning, power windows, a sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and a clean set of AutoMeter readouts. Plus, the Holley Sniper EFI controller mounted on the dash lets you know theres something extra special under the hood. Its always great to see a classic Mopar get a V8 upgrade while still keeping it in the Mopar family. The 440 cubic-inch big block really fills the engine bay, and it has polished components and a tidy style to make sure youre always going to show it off. There are nice power upgrades like an Edelbrock Performer intake, a Mallory coil, and a four-core radiator. Its even said to be bored .40 over with an upgraded steel crank. Best of all this mighty Mopar motor is topped with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system to deliver the best in power and consistency. This is a serious muscle powerhouse, and so its mated to a stout Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission with a 2800 stall converter to keep you in the ideal powerband. This feeds into a Dana limited-slip rear end with a versatile 3.23 setup. As you look underneath, youre going to spot more worthwhile upgrades, including a Mustang II-style independent front end, rack & pinion power steering, power brakes with front discs, and a ladder bar rear with coilovers. With less than 1,600 miles on the full build, this first-year C1 is an impressive pickup. So you know this glowing yellow custom classic needs to be the one radiating in your garage. Call today!!!
