Classic Car Overview

1954 Chevrolet Bel Air two door sedan with many modifications and full documentation of the build.  Chassis Engineering IFS with rack and pinion steering and disc brakes as well as their transmission mount and rear end mounting kit were used.  A Lime Works kit was used to modify the original steering column and shift linkage.  The rear end is a GM 8.5 with 3.73  Richmond Gears installed.  The transmission is a GM 200 4R rebuilt by Fayetteville Transmission.  It is mated to the original short block with a Langdon adapter.  The engine was built by Fayetteville Motor Exchange with an 848 head with hardened seats and bronze guides.  The original head is available.  The engine has an Offenhauser dual intake manifold with Carter-Weber Carburetors and linkage from Langdon.  It also has an HEI electronic distributor from Langdon.  The exhaust is Fenton with duals made with Cherry Bombs and a kit from JEGs.  The power brake master cylinder and bracket were from CPP.  The radiator is aluminum and the air conditioner and heater are from Vintage Air.  Raingear provided the electric windshield wiper system.   Lokar supplied the gas pedal and linkage as well as the transmission cable.  The gas tank is polyethylene and all fuel and brake lines are new.  The battery is 12V and an alternator is used.  The body is painted with base and clear coat.  The chrome is by Whitworx.  All small scripts are new from the aftermarket.  Dynamat liner was used.  All gaskets and seals were replaced.  A Classic Car radio and hidden antenna were installed as was a Speedhut GPS speedometer with tach.  A National Chevrolet interior kit was installed after seats were repadded.  Obviously the grill has extra teeth, the only apparent external change, but another grill bar with 5 teeth is available.  This car has been driven less than 50 miles.  Over $30K in parts invested in this build.  The price is $27.5K.  Vehicle number is C54K052643.
