Classic Car Overview
Cosmetic
Paint/Body: All original steel body is pretty straight for its age! There is some filler in the drivers cab corner and some old skim coat on a couple spots under the paint. Paint looks good for an old farm truck, appears to be very old. There are a few spots here and there with imperfections so please check out the video. Overall this is a super solid truck that looks cool just like it is!
Interior: Original dash is uncut and has original gauges. Seat has no rips or tears and looks really nice. The original rubber floor mat is cracked. Glove box still has the cardboard in it.
Glass/Windows: Drivers window glass is missing but we have the brand new window with rail in the box ready for installation. Passenger window rolls up and down with some effort and needs to be greased. Windshield and rear glass are all in good original condition with older weatherstripping.
Trunk/Bed: Oak wood bed is solid and has no rot or soft spots. Would sand and re-stain easily.
Undercarriage: Incredible original condition underneath; solid rust free frame rails, original floor pans are solid and rust free also. Cab corners have some normal rust. Step sides are rust free too. This is a very solid original steel truck.
Wheels/Tires: Steel wheels with older whitewall tires.
Mechanical
Drivetrain: 235 6 cylinder starts easily with the choke on and original starter pedal. The starter is old and you have to push the pedal hard to get it to engage. The 3 speed transmission shifts smoothly through all gears and clutch feels good and tight. Steering is typical for an older truck with some play but drives straight.
Lights/Electrical: Headlights, tail lights, and brake lights are all functional. Interior dome light is not working. Most of the original gauges are functional. Newer wiring harness and 12V alternator.
Brakes: The master cylinder has a small leak and will need to be replaced. For now the truck stops ok when you pump the pedal a couple of times. Brake lines and cylinders have been replaced since new.
This is a great truck to tinker with and enjoy this summer and for years to come. Be sure to watch the video inspection then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
