The Dodge M37 was introduced in 1951 as a 3/4-ton, four-wheel-drive military truck designed to replace the World War II-era Dodge WC series. The M37 was developed with a number of improvements over its predecessor, including a more conventional pickup-style cargo bed and updated drivetrain components. It saw extensive service with the United States military during the Korean War and remained in military use for decades, with production continuing through 1968. The M37 was valued for its rugged construction, off-road capability, and versatility, and numerous examples continued to serve with military and civilian organizations long after their initial military service.
