Classic Car Overview
Engine is a rebuilt and tuned 230 "Turbo-Thrift" 140 hp Inline-6 cylinder produced in Flint Michigan. This has the desirable "bolt-on" manifold version (non-integrated head). It offers significantly more horsepower and smoother 7-main-bearing operation. New single barrel carburetor.
Drivetrain has been upgraded and modernized to open-drive conversion. The restrictive factory torque tube has been removed and replaced with open driveshaft and a fully synchronized 3-speed manual Saginaw transmission and new clutch and linkage have been installed.
Collectors note the car and the engine and transmission were Manufactured in Flint Michigan!
New battery, new master cylinder, new clutch, wheel cylinders, brake lines, battery, ribbed leather headliner, door cards, etc. Interior replaced with modern front and rear leather seats. It has a custom fitted center console. I have the original factory front and rear seats available. Shifter linkage bushings could used replacement bushings. Kit cost $50
and has already been ordered.
The exterior was an older restoration with a total repaint about 12 years ago. Really nice high gloss shine remaining with some small imperfections. Touch up paint included.
Silver powder coated bumpers and grill.
Interior lighting, exterior lights, dash lights, gauges, turn signals, and horn all work.
