Classic Car Overview

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1953 Buick Special 4 door sedan. The Buick Special was conceived in 1938 as an affordable, entry level mid sized family minded car. for Model year 1950, the car, like most others, received a radical redesign and was considered the first fully postwar design for the series. The new design took on the idea of a new area in Post War American history.

The 1953 Buick Special 4 door Sedan offered here is powered by the legendary 263 CID Fireball Straight 8 , 2 Speed dynaflow transmission and rear wheel drive. The car is painted in 2 tone Garnet Red and Black exterior paint scheme. The interior features bench seat, original and complete highly trimmed dash, Buick Radio, Column shift automatic shifter, original steering wheel and horn ring, etc. The exterior features an older repaint; the trim, bumpers and other bright-work are complete and appear original. Under the hood is clean and the motor has been freshly painted. Underneath the car reveals the original unmolested X frame and underside revealing an excellent solid core structure.

Noted services included new master cylinder a year ago and new tires 4 years ago.

This 1953 Buick represents a huge opportunity to get into a running and driving American classic at a low price. This car is not without its bumps and bruises, but it can be driven the way it is or it can be a blank canvas for anyone who is looking to do a creative build. NO LIMITS AT THE PRICE OFFERED HERE.
