The 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark convertible was created to mark Buicks 50th anniversary. It joined the Oldsmobile 98 Fiesta and Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado as a top-of-the-line, limited-production specialty convertible. Of the three, the Skylarks production of 1,690 units proved to be the most successful. This 1953 Buick Roadmaster Skylark custom convertible is being offered from a private collection and is fully restored with $17,000 recently spent on maintenance. The owner states the car is 100% correct and the he believes the car to have just over 28,000 original miles. Show quality paint, correct cove finish, and all new interior. Original matching number drivetrain completely rebuilt. Power is supplied by a 322 V8 nailhead backed by an automatic transmission. All new wiring, power steering, power brakes, power top, power seats, power windows, and Kelsey Hayes wheels on correct tires. Recent service includes: Rebuilding all brake cylinders, flushing all brake lines, converting from generator to alternator, repacking all wheel bearings, and replacing power antenna.
