VW Kombi Van Seeing Resurgence in Popularity

The Volkswagen Kombi van reached iconic status, with even a school lunch box fashioned in its image. During those early years, the Volkswagen Microbus morphed into various forms. 1952 British MG For Sale

Car appeared in 1994 TV remake of “Shaggy Dog“ for Disney in original condition.

Beautiful Numbers Matching Cream on Green MG.

Frame off restoration done from 1995 and completed in 1996. Car was totally stripped painted and restored both cosmetic and mechanical.

Car has been kept covered and garaged since 1994.

Only 2000 miles since restoration. No dents scratches very smooth professional finish.

The car is extremely straight and restored by a professional body man that straightened out all the dents.

During restoration evidence of original black paint and red fabric were found hidden between the fenders in the body. Seats were rebuilt and frames strengthened.

The seat cushions use the original foam but additional stiff foam  was added to keep the bottom comfortable. Leather covers all areas. The doors consist of metal covered wooden frames

There original rear axle carried ring and pinion gears with the ratio of 5:12. The previous owner replaced them with the set of 4.33 ratio gears. The MG cruises at 60 very comfortably in an engine RPM of 3500. At 65 mph the engine comes up to 4000 RPM with little fuss. The previous owner rebuilt the transmission and the gears were replaced.

The universal joints are new, as well as a heater for the inside cabin. The engine does not smoke and uses little oil.

This is a gem of an MG which I hate to part with, however wife is not able to ride in car so it deserves a new owner.

Car is located outside of St. George Utah in Hurricane.
